Code of Conduct

The South Australian Games Association (SAGA) has a strict behavioural policy for all attendees and members. We encourage attendees from varied backgrounds and strive to ensure our events are welcoming and comfortable to all.

Any member or attendee engaging in unacceptable behaviours will be given one warning or instantly removed from the event based on the severity of the incident at the discretion of the event organizer. Action may be taken by the committee including ongoing bans from in-person and online events.

We understand behaviours may be miscommunicated and will assess each situation on a case-by-case basis.

If you notice any unacceptable behavior towards yourself or others, please let the event organiser know or contact SAGA directly at sagamesassociation@gmail.com

Examples of unacceptable behaviours:

  • Verbal – demeaning comments directed at but not limited to race, gender, age, disability, body size.

  • Physical – non-consensual physical contact, gestures.

  • Intimidation – Unwanted photography*, recording*, stalking, following, offline or online bullying of any kind.

  • Encouraging or supporting any of the above.

  • Any other behaviours deemed harmful or unacceptable by SAGA.

We welcome feedback on our policy from our members and community!

*Events may be photographed or recorded by the SAGA team, please check event invitations for notice and let us know if you do not wish to be captured.
